โบลเวอร์แบบข้างช่องหรือแรงเหวี่ยง? เปรียบเทียบเชิงปฏิบัติ

Both move air, but they suit very different duty points. The choice usually comes down to pressure versus volume.

The two machine types overlap in the middle of their ranges, which is exactly where most selection mistakes happen. The distinction that matters is the shape of the curve, not the headline performance.

Side channel blowers: pressure at modest flow

A side channel blower accelerates air repeatedly around a ring channel, adding pressure with each pass. The result is a steep curve: pressure stays high even when flow is restricted. That makes it the right choice for conveying, vacuum lifting, aeration at depth and any duty where the system resistance is significant and unpredictable.

They are also oil-free in the air path, because the impeller never touches the housing. For food, pharmaceutical, electronics and battery applications this removes a contamination source entirely.

Centrifugal blowers: volume at modest pressure

A centrifugal machine accelerates air once and converts that velocity into pressure. Its curve is flatter: flow changes a lot for a small change in resistance. It suits ventilation, cooling, drying air and combustion air, where volume matters more than pressure and the system resistance is low and stable.

Choosing between them

  • High resistance, low flow — conveying, deep aeration, vacuum handling: side channel.
  • Low resistance, high flow — ventilation, cooling, drying: centrifugal.
  • Variable resistance — blocking filters, changing material level: side channel, because its curve tolerates the drift.
  • Oil-free requirement — either, but side channel gives it for free.

The overlap zone

For medium pressure and medium flow both types can work. At that point the decision usually comes down to noise, footprint, price and how the machine will be controlled. A side channel unit in this range tends to be quieter and more compact; a centrifugal unit tends to be cheaper for the same volume. Tell us the duty point and we will tell you which side of the line it falls on.
