Most enquiries arrive with the model number and the quantity, which is enough to quote a price but not enough to confirm that the model is right for the job. Here is what we ask for, and why each item changes the answer.

The duty point

• Flow rate at the working condition — the single most important figure.
• Pressure or vacuum level at that flow, and whether it is measured at the machine or at the point of use.
• Duty type — pressure, vacuum, or both ports used.
• Operating hours per day — continuous duty needs a different selection than intermittent.

The process

• Conveyed media — air, gas mixture, dust-laden air, vapour. This decides materials and filtration.
• Media temperature and ambient temperature — both affect density and therefore performance.
• Moisture or condensate present in the gas.
• Corrosive or abrasive components, which decide whether standard, stainless or coated materials are needed.
• Hazardous area classification — zone, gas group and temperature class if applicable.

The installation

• Voltage, frequency and phase, plus the destination country so we match the local supply.
• Installation environment — indoor, outdoor, dusty, humid, coastal, high altitude.
• Noise limits if the unit sits near working areas.
• Pipework layout — diameter, length and bends, if already designed.

Commercial items

Quantity, destination port or country, required delivery date and any certification or documentation the consignment must carry. For spare part enquiries, the model plate photo or serial number is the fastest route to an accurate identification.
