Becker SAMOS Side Channel Blower

Technical description

Becker has manufactured vacuum pumps, blowers and compressors since 1963 and operates 60 branches across 42 countries. The SAMOS side channel range is built around a die-cast aluminium and grey cast iron housing with a dynamically balanced aluminium impeller, which is why the units run with very low vibration and noise.

In a single stage side channel blower the conveyed medium is discharged after one revolution; the two stage version passes it to a second stage in the same revolution, producing a higher differential pressure. The series is available in a range of sizes so the unit can be matched to the process rather than the other way round.

An internally mounted silencer keeps the noise level low enough to install the unit near a workstation, and the open impeller structure prevents particle build-up, which protects the bearings and avoids imbalance.
